About Dr. Susie Sweets

Hi, I’m Dr. Susie, the baker and creator behind Dr. Susie Sweets! I’m a home baker who started sharing “cookie joy” with family and friends in 2020, hoping to spread a little extra happiness—because who doesn’t love a beautifully decorated and delicious cookie?

I’m actually a doctor! I earned my doctorate through a joint program at UCLA and UCI, where my research focused on how children learning English as a second language transition from learning to read to reading to learn. Pairing my love of reading with my passion for baking, Dr. Susie Sweets was the perfect name!

I specialize in custom-decorated sugar cookies, in-person cookie decorating classes, and digital cookie cutter and edible printer image designs. Whether you’re here to learn, order, or just admire some sweet creations, I hope you find a little bit of cookie joy along the way!
